Home Alone 2 was filmed in the Plaza Hotel in New York. It is a 21 story french styled condominium styled building. Designed by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, a famous America architect who was born in the 1800’s. His architectural designs are recognized as he was one of the first to master a new building form known as the skyscraper. Although Hardenbergh was the original designer and architect for the hotel when it was built in 1907, since then there have been several other designers who are responsible for additions and remodeling of the original design.
